About David
Actor/producer/writer and Philadelphia native David Martel grew early roots in television. Cast as a young teen on Nickelodeon’s hit single-camera comedy, “The Adventures of Pete & Pete,” his role developed throughout the show's three seasons.
Experienced on both sides of the camera, David has been on producing teams for 20th/Fox, VH1, and TLC. He has pitched and developed scripted and unscripted programming with several streamers and studios. Earlier in his career, he supported casting for projects including the Disney feature "Sky High," HBO's "Curb Your Enthusiasm," and NBC's "The Office."
David has extensive training in improvisation. He co-hosted The Discovery Channel series “Jaws & Claws” for two seasons and has also appeared on shows such as “Scrubs” and “Arrested Development.”
Presently, David teaches "Acting for the Camera" at UCLA Extension.
David has a Bachelor’s degree from Fordham University and a Master’s from Pepperdine.
